Scuba dive the remote Socorro Islands, only by liveaboard, and a 26-hour sail from Cabo. You will be rewarded with possibly one of the best diving experiences of your life. Comprised of four volcanic islands (the Revillagigedo Archipelago) located in the Pacific off the coast of the Baja peninsula, the diving provides the chance for big animal encounters, a pelagic paradise.
Experience giant Pacific manta at the Boiler, San Benedicto, Humpback Whales, dolphins, and sharks at Socorro, and schools of Jacks and Tuna at Roca Partida. This destination rivals Cocos Island or the Galapagos for sheer exhilaration. The Revillagigedo Archipelago National Park was created in December 2017. It is the country’s largest marine protected area, covering 57,176 square miles (148,087 square kilometres) from fishing and other extractive activities.
Diving Socorro from the Nautilus Explorer is a luxurious liveaboard choice. The vessel is a forty-meter-long strong steel hulled dive liveaboard custom designed for divers to provide the most outstanding level of comfort and safety. The passive stability system makes sure the ride out to the national park and back is smooth. Not only all of that, but the vessel has achieved the same safety certification as that awarded to large cruise ships.
The Nautilus Explorer caters for guests in 13 cabins ranging from lower-priced triple occupancy suites to luxurious premium cabins. All cabins have private bathrooms with air conditioning while the premium cabin, located on the hot tub deck offers a separate lounge with floor-to-ceiling picture windows and the ensuite bathroom has its own bathtub.
Whether in the dining room, main saloon, or on one of the sundecks, there is plenty of space onboard to find a place to relax. In the main saloon area, you will find video showings, a library, and an abundant bar.
Providing imaginative and fresh cuisine is one of the pillars of the business, and the Nautilus Explorer kitchen is up to the task. Up to four meals per day are served in both a buffet and a la carte style. Meals consist mainly of North American and European flavours with a touch of Mexican. The chef can accommodate those on a vegan | plant-based diet. We guarantee you won’t have to worry about the menu.
