Indonesia is home to some of the best scuba diving in the world. Bali is an easily accessible microcosm of what diving in this stunning country offers. Not only that, but Bali is home to many incredibly experienced, professionally run, and inclusive-minded dive resorts and dive shops. Currently, we arrange PADI scuba diving courses in Tulamben, Bali. Tulamben is about three hours by car from Denpasar airport. We can arrange the transfer for you or use Grab or Gojek. In Tulamben, we work with Melasti Dive Resort, which has an excellent location right on the beach, a fantastic swimming pool for your confined sessions, and well-considered inclusive food and accommodation. The Dive Resort has a PADI dive shop with experienced dive instructors and small class groups and is just down the coast from the USS Liberty Wreck.
Because here, your safety and enjoyment are paramount. Not only that, but the diving is stunning. You will have the chance to encounter abundant corals, reef fish, pelagics, and plenty of cute little critters. The world-renowned wreck of the USS Liberty is a few metres from the shore and offers an unchallenging wreck diving experience. Great for Nitrox or a PADI Advanced course.
The Melasti house Reef is one of the area’s most sought-after macro diving locations and is a couple of metres walk into the sea from the resort. Here, you will find an array of frogfish and nudibranchs, including the Dota Greenamyeri and the Costasiella!
The swimming pool is the best in the area, with enough length and three depths to get the most out of your confined water sessions. While you are practicing your skills you have a beautiful view out over the Melasti Beach.
You are probably very aware by now how important it is to protect the ocean. You may also be aware of the huge, detrimental effect farming animals and fishing have on the oceans not to mention the ethical reasons, which are many. For these reasons, the dive resort offers an inclusive, fully vegan full board menu for guests and those curious to try. For more information on the menu, do not hesitate to get in touch.
