Philippines|scuba-courses
The Philippines is home to some of the best scuba diving in the world. This is attested to by its recent winning of the Best Place in the World to Dive award, and Bohol has some of the most accessible diving in the Philippines. With professionally run PADI dive shops, corals and fish just off the beach and generally calm conditions perfect for dive courses, Bohol is a winner. That said, for the best-run courses, the greatest inclusivity, environmental awareness, and an all-around exceptional time, get in touch with us. We have 15 years of experience diving and teaching in Bohol, so don’t be shy; ask away.
Currently, we arrange PADI dive courses right on Alona Beach in Panglao. Alona Beach is a stone’s throw away from Bohol airport or about 30 minutes from the ferry pier should you be coming over from Cebu. We can arrange a pick up from either and deliver you straight to Seaquest Oasis on the beach. The dive centre is a PADI five-star Instructor Development Centre, so you know your dive course will be run professionally, with a high degree of safety and accountability.
The resort attached to Seaquest offers comfortable accommodations smack bang on Alona Beach. The kitchen serves up well-thought-out cuisine, and the bar serves refreshing cocktails all night. Seaquest is a great choice if you are after experienced dive instructors and small personal classes.
Because here, your safety and enjoyment are paramount. Not only that, but the diving can be superb. You will have the chance to encounter abundant corals, reef fish, pelagics, and plenty of cute little critters. White sand beaches and blue waters are the hallmarks of your Philippine scuba course adventure. Great for PADI Open Water and the PADI Advanced Open Water diver certification.
The dive sites where you will spend your time are located around the island of Panglao, which is just over the bridge from Bohol Island. There are many varied types of environments for you to explore, from fringing coral reefs to walls and sandy bottoms.
Why on earth mention the pool!? Having a place that allows you to practice comfortably, safely and easily during your Open Water course is paramount. The one at Seaquest is a corker. Situated right on Alona beach, you can see the Bohol Sea as you get practiced up to take the plunge. Breaks in learning can be passed sipping on a beverage contemplating beach life.
You are probably very aware by now how important it is to protect the ocean. You may also be aware of the huge, detrimental effect farming animals and fishing have on the oceans not to mention the ethical reasons against supporting this, which are many. For these reasons, the dive resort offers vegan menu items for plant-based divers and those curious to try. For more information on the menu, do not hesitate to get in touch.
If you are thinking about trying scuba diving for the first time or possibly looking to upgrade your current certification. Perhaps you are exploring a specialty course or interest; you are bound to have some questions. We have been in the dive education profession for almost twenty years, and I reckon have pretty much heard every question there is. Try to surprise us and get in touch here. Remember the silliest question, is the one not asked 😉
Recommended adventure dives for Bohol are Peak Performance Buoyancy, Night, and Fish ID.
