Socorro

Scuba dive the remote Socorro Islands, only by liveaboard, and a 26-hour sail from Cabo. You will be rewarded with possibly one of the best diving experiences of your life. Comprised of four volcanic islands (the Revillagigedo Archipelago) located in the Pacific off the coast of the Baja peninsula, the diving provides the chance for big animal encounters, a pelagic paradise.

Experience giant Pacific manta at the boiler, San Benedicto, Humpback Whales, dolphins, and sharks at Socorro, and schools of Jacks and Tuna at Roca Partida. This destination rivals Cocos Island or the Galapagos for sheer exhilaration. The Revillagigedo Archipelago National Park was created in December 2017. The country’s largest marine protected area covers 57,176 square miles (148,087 square kilometres) and safeguards from fishing and other extractive activities.

The Liveaboard

nautilus belle amie-socorro-anchoredLaunched in 2015, the steel-hulled, stabilised Belle Amie is the largest of the Nautilus Fleet. At 45 meters in length, the spacious vessel was constructed to provide safety and comfort for liveaboard diving in this remote part of the world.

Running several different itineraries that include Socorro and Cocos Island, the Belle Amie and her attentive, professional crew will provide you with an extraordinary level of service, whether you are in the water or above it. The vessel has been built to meet the same safety standards as larger cruise vessels; rest assured, you will be well taken care of as you search for giant manta and humpback whales.

Accommodation
