Mexico|liveaboards
Scuba dive the remote Socorro Islands, only by liveaboard, and a 26-hour sail from Cabo. You will be rewarded with possibly one of the best diving experiences of your life. Comprised of four volcanic islands (the Revillagigedo Archipelago) located in the Pacific off the coast of the Baja peninsula, the diving provides the chance for big animal encounters, a pelagic paradise.
Experience giant Pacific manta at the Boiler, San Benedicto, Humpback Whales, dolphins, and sharks at Socorro, and schools of Jacks and Tuna at Roca Partida. This destination rivals Cocos Island or the Galapagos for sheer exhilaration. The Revillagigedo Archipelago National Park was created in December 2017. The country’s largest marine protected area covers 57,176 square miles (148,087 square kilometres) and safeguards from fishing and other extractive activities.
The Valentina liveaboard, which takes divers to the Soccoro Islands, is one of the most spacious vessels heading to the Revillagigedo Archipelago.

What a stunning image! This could be you heading off on one of the vessel’s dive tenders to dive Socorro. These divers are probably about to encounter colossal manta rays, a friendly local dolphin population, many species of sharks, and perhaps even a whale. Socorro is affectionately referred to as ‘mini Galapagos‘ for good reason, and because of this, dive trips to the archipelago book up years in advance.
Just so you know, the trip cost excludes the Socorro Islands Marine Park | Port fees, equipment rental (if any), and PADI course fees (if any). The marine park fee can alter occasionally, and there may sometimes be fuel surcharges.
As of last year the Mexican government doubled park fees to 3688 Mexican pesos per day of diving in the marine park. Get in touch for the latest information.
