Maldives|liveaboards
Scuba diving in the Maldives is likely on every scuba diver’s bucket list. Located in the middle of the Indian Ocean, its white sand bordered atolls look like a string of pearls in crystal-blue waters. Once the purview of well-heeled honeymooners, above-water bungalow resorts and less-than-accessible flight tickets to Male. This extremely biodiverse region has become easier for scuba divers to experience. The Maldives are now simpler to get to, and dive liveaboards (the way to experience the best scuba on offer) have increased their service levels, become more inclusive and have lowered their prices.
If endless blue waters, tiger sharks, whale sharks and manta are your cup of tea, it’s time to head to the Maldives❤️
The well-renowned Emperor Fleet’s top-of-class dive liveaboard in the Maldives. We constantly admire their attention to detail, safety, and inclusivity.
Recently built, this 42 metre long sturdy-hulled, sleek vessel, comfortably and reliably takes divers to the best scuba spots in the Maldives.
With a beam of over 13 metres, she ensures stability over ocean crossings. With four decks, and all necessary safety equipment, she makes an awesome inclusive choice for your Maldives dive adventure.
The Emperor Explorer has a flexible cabin arrangement that can accommodate up to 26 divers. Spread over three decks, the cabins include king-size doubles, twins, doubles with a single, and standard doubles.
All cabins have the amenities you have come to expect from an Emperor experience, ensuite bathrooms, AC, plenty of storage space, windows, and comfy beds.
The diving is done Maldivian style from the accompanying dhoni, overseen by four dive guides, allowing pinpoint entry and exits. The spacious dhoni is fully equipped with compressors, comphrehensive first aid and an AED.
Nitrox is available, and facilities for underwater photographers are extensive, allowing you plenty of space to take care of your gear after that nurse shark night dive.
Indulge in some great western and local cuisine, freshly prepared and served in the well appointed, airy restaurant. Inclusivity is paramount, so plant-based, vegan, the cruelty-free scuba food you require and desire, is very well catered for.
As always, get in touch with us to review available menus during your Maldives dive excursion.
One of the things we love about dive trips on the Emperor Explorer is the level of inclusivity.
