Indo Siren

Dive Komodo

Scuba from the Indonesian Siren! The Komodo National Park is widely considered one of the best diving destinations in the world. The park was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991 and a marine protected area in 2000. Famous for its strong currents, which bring nutrient-laden water up from the depths of the Indian Ocean, nourishing an enormous array of coral and fish species.

Diving Experience

Diving here is recommended for more experienced divers and for those just starting their diving life; a definite place to visit after around 50 dives. With over 40 dive sites ranging from pelagic dives to macro, stunning coral reefs and mind-bending drift dives, Komodo is a firm Infinite Blue favourite. If you have a few weeks, take a 10-night trip and see the best of Komodo.

The Liveaboard

The Indonesian Siren and your home during your dive trip was designed and built to consider everything that a diver and underwater photographer could wish for. She offers flexible cabin arrangements, a generous outdoor diving area, and one of the most spacious dive decks around.

Safety

Safety is a preeminent issue onboard, and the vessel is equipped with all necessary safety features. Personal GPS devices for divers are available, and all the crew are regularly updated with the latest emergency procedures. Workstations are inside and out for your equipment, and the diving is done from one of two comfortable tenders.

The Diving

Your trip leaves and returns to Labuan Bajo, which can be conveniently reached from many domestic airports. Right from the get-go, you will be doing some incredible diving; even the dive sites just out of the harbour are world-class. The dive sites around Gili Lawa Laut are warm water dives, usually with excellent visibility, cranking currents, vibrant coral, and pelagic life.

Castle Rock  | Gili Lawa Laut

Castle Rock is one of the few places we have dived with dolphins, and the last time we dived there were lucky enough to witness reef sharks mating. There is always the chance of Manta Ray, Crystal Rock, and the adrenalin-pumping Shotgun are no exceptions. Current City, Besar, and Kecil are dive sites of world renown, and Batu Bolong is a top site in many divers’ lists, rich in fish life and current. Further down south, the water gets colder, so come prepared.

Manta Alley

At Manta Alley, you have an excellent chance of fleets of Manta; hook in and enjoy. On longer trips, you will reach the southeast, where Yellow Wall and Cannibal Rock are outstanding sites. Komodo has numerous excellent macro dive spots, be sure to visit Wainilu and Tiga Dara. For more information on diving with the  Indo Siren team in Komodo, just message us.
