Tulamben is a small village on the East coast of Bali close to Amed (another popular diving destination). It is widely known for the USAT Liberty Wreck, a ship that was sunk in 1942 by the Japanese, which has created a very accessible and abundant dive site.
The area also has world-class macro diving and the chance to encounter pelagics such as manta and the odd whale shark. The area is quiet on land but has some pleasant new cafes and restaurants. There is the option to head to Amed (a 15-minute drive) if you want a bit of nightlife, relaxed cafes, fantastic food and diving.

Oceanview rooms are private, Balinese-style bungalows and hotel-type rooms set in a verdant, tropical setting. There are two swimming pools, ocean views and direct beach access.
All accommodations are air-conditioned, with hot water showers, a safety box, a mini fridge and many more amenities. Rooms are large and airy, giving you plenty of space to relax and spread out.
Dive Tulamben at a well-established dive shop with an experienced, professional team of dive guides and instructors. Diving will generally be shore dives around the local area and some sites in Amed. Diving further afield can be arranged, just drop us a message to arrange that.
With the world-famous USS Liberty wreck on the doorstep and close proximity to many of the awesome macro sites Tulamben offers, diving is relaxed and easy. There will be a slight walk over the famous Tulamben stony shore, but it is well worth it.
Traditional techniques are combined with contemporary cooking styles to bring you the flavour of local Balinese cuisine with a fantastic view. Ingredients are fresh and locally sourced, and meals can be created to cater for those on plant-based diets.
