The Amaya Explorer
The Amaya Explorer is a 35-metre traditional Indonesian Phinisi, carefully crafted to blend classic design with modern functionality. Purpose-built for long-range cruising, she offers smooth sailing, generous deck space and fully equipped facilities for serious diving expeditions.
Operating across Indonesia’s top regions, the vessel spends a prime part of the year exploring Komodo’s dynamic waters.
Hosting up to 16 guests in 8 cabins, the Amaya Explorer provides a personal and comfortable liveaboard experience supported by a professional, friendly crew.
Accommodation
2 Master Sea-View Cabins (Upper Deck) – Spacious rooms with ocean views and double beds.
4 Deluxe Cabins (Lower Deck) – Flexible layout with a lower double and upper single bunk.
2 Standard Twin Cabins (Lower Deck) – Twin bunk-style rooms with en-suite facilities.
All eight cabins onboard are air-conditioned with private en-suite bathrooms and hot showers, offering a relaxing retreat after energetic Komodo dive days. Accommodation includes. Guests can unwind in the cosy indoor lounge or enjoy the alfresco spaces and sun deck between dives.
Diving with Amaya Explorer in Komodo
Komodo is renowned for exhilarating currents, vibrant coral gardens and encounters with iconic marine life. Expect dramatic pinnacles at Castle Rock and Crystal Rock, colourful reefs at Batu Bolong, and unforgettable moments with manta rays at Makassar Reef and Manta Alley.
The Amaya Explorer typically offers 3–4 dives per day, operated from two fast, stable dive tenders. Dive schedules are planned with currents and conditions in mind to ensure safe, optimal experiences at each site. Nitrox is available for certified divers wishing to extend bottom time.
Komodo’s dive season with Amaya Explorer usually runs from June to August, with some itineraries extending into surrounding months or combining with nearby regions for varied exploration.
Food Onboard
Meals onboard balance Indonesian flavours with international favourites, freshly prepared and served either outdoors or in the comfortable indoor dining area. The crew is happy to accommodate dietary requirements, and vegan and plant-based meals can be arranged in advance — aligning perfectly with Infinite Blue Dive Travel’s plant-powered philosophy.

Trip Exclusions
Trip prices generally exclude Komodo National Park entry fees, harbour and fuel surcharges (paid onboard), scuba gear rental if required, and optional course fees.
