Raja Ampat|liveaboards
The Carpe Diem management not only actively carbon offsets but the yacht gains as much power from solar as it possibly can. The company also participates in local community initiatives, so the Carpe Diem gets our vote as one of Indonesia’s most sustainable dive liveaboards.
The Carpe Diem was constructed from scratch in the wooden Phinisi style of South Sulawesi. She has two masts rigged in a Gaff-Ketch arrangement and carries divers in luxury to the best dive locations in Indonesia. Explicitly built to carry a small number of guests, you will have no problem finding peace and solace on this beautiful yacht. Relax on this wonderfully designed beauty and watch the stunning landscapes of Komodo, Raja Ampat, and the Banda Sea pass.
There are only four guest cabins on the Carpe Diem, meaning the rooms are large and comfortable, and space on the yacht is plenty. Carrying a maximum of 10 guests, the Carpe Diem offers superb value for this level of service. All cabins have portholes and skylights, allowing for plenty of natural light. They also all have air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms. A comfortable saloon, a large sundeck and an al fresco dining area provide ample space to chill out in and enjoy.
Food is of utmost importance when diving daily in the remote areas of Indonesia, and the Carpe Diem in Raja Ampat exceeds expectations.
Providing imaginative menus from locally sourced ingredients focuses on great food and sustainability. Cecile looks over the kitchen, and plant-based diets are well respected and catered for. Let Infinite Blue help you arrange your plant-based Raja Ampat dive cruise.
One of the many reasons we love this operation is that the Carpe Diem team has taken sustainability seriously, with carbon offsetting, biofuels, LED lights, solar panels, and a zero single-use plastic policy.
The Carpe Diem in Raja Ampat is at the forefront of the pack in environmentally conscious liveaboard operators in Indonesia, allowing you to do more for the ocean on your next dive holiday.
