The Apex of Philippines' Diving

Tubbataha, located in the Sulu Sea, is a marine reserve and a UNESCO world heritage site. Due to its location and dependence on weather conditions is only accessible by liveaboard and dived from March till June.

The marine reserve comprises two reefs, referred to as North and South, and both reefs enclose a sandy lagoon. A lighthouse stands on an islet at the southern tip, which is used as a rookery for birds and is frequented by sea turtles. Tubbataha Reefs Natural Parks is home to more than 570 species of fish, 370 species of coral, 11 species of shark, and 12 species of dolphin and whale. There are also large numbers of nesting Hawksbill and Green sea turtles. Tubbataha is one of THE places to dive for scuba adventurers, both remote and remarkable.

M/Y Resolute| Tubbatahe Marine Park | PhilippinesThe Liveaboard

Your vessel for this dive trip of a lifetime is the 34.6-metre-long M/Y Resolute. A steel-hulled vessel that has safely been voyaging the seas since 1974, when she was formerly a Soviet spy trawler during the cold war.

After being decommissioned, she was purchased and converted into dive liveaboard. Operating in the Philippines since 1998, she is one of the longest-running liveaboard vessels in the country.

Accommodation

The M/Y Resolute carries a maximum of 16 divers in 8 cabins, each with a private bathroom and climate-controlled A/C. She has ample indoor and outdoor space to relax and take in the views, a spacious dive deck, camera workstations, and a comfortable saloon. Diving is done from one of the two support dinghies. Operated by a highly experienced crew, the M/Y Resolute is a dependable choice for your Tubbataha dive adventure.
